Is Your New Car Due It First Service? Part 1
What to Consider When Looking for a Reputable Auto Repair Shop
One thing to consider when choosing a repair shop is their reputation. Local garages are known in the local community. However, it pays to speak to colleagues, business owners and family and friends to see where they take their cars for service and repairs.
You should also contact your local Better Business Bureau to see if there have been any complaints filed on the auto repair shop services within your area. A rough indication of a shop’s reliability are the number of cars that are within its garage. The better auto repair shops should have more cars waiting for repairs or leaving ready for customer pick-ups.
There are different levels of service provided by the different repair shops. At the top are service centers offered by new car dealerships. Their mechanics are trained for at least one big car manufacturer so they are familiar with certain models and are able to get original factory parts. However, the drawback with these is the expense.
